I'd better make this quick because I need to go to bed!
My pregnancy is 19 weeks today. Time is passing much more quickly now. I knew it would! I'm looking forward to my second ultrasound (next Wednesday). I'm feeling pretty well, but still more tired than I'd like to be and I'm feeling more aches and pains these days. Here's what Babycentre says on the 19 weeks page: "Your baby weighs about 8 1/2 ounces, and he measures 6 inches, head to bottom — about the length of a small zucchini...You may notice some achiness in your lower abdomen (perhaps extending to your groin) or even a quick, sharp, stabbing pain on one or both sides, especially when you change position or at the end of an active day."
Well, I certainly noticed that kind of pain last evening. Yesterday was exhausting. I did a lot of work by myself (i.e., with the kids). Neil stayed at the farm yesterday because they decided to keep working while the weather is good. It's perfectly understandable, but they usually don't work on Sundays, so it was a little disappointing for me.
I finally weeded the back yard and filled a yard bag with weeds that were going to seed. The girls actually did help a little with that chore. They were playing outside for awhile but then went and got their gardening gloves from the house. It's a wonder they can actually pull weeds with those floppy gloves on their hands. The gloves are kid-sized, but still much too big for the girls. The girls certainly enjoy "helping"!
On Saturday, the girls and I went to the farm to celebrate Neil's Dad's 65th birthday (his birthday was on the 25th). Both of Neil's sisters and their children were there too. We had a great supper of steak and lobster, along with potatoes, beets, and tomatoes from the garden (Donna's, Laurel's, and our garden, that is). Mmmmm.
