- finishing the girls' birthday gift shopping on Dec 29.
- getting my email inbox down to 100 messages at one point this week. I'll get to the bottom of it someday!
- learning how to sync Things between my desktop and iPod Touch, which means I can now keep my to-do list current wherever I am. I love that. But even when it was only on my desktop, I found Things very useful. I've been using it since July. (If any of you with a Mac would like to get Things, I can send you a coupon code for 20% off that's good until Jan 15. Let me know.)
- making plans for both Madeline and Sophia's birthday parties. They're very excited! They haven't had separate parties, or a "friend" party at home, since they turned one and three. (They have shared parties at Gymnastics Adventure, Chuck E. Cheese's, Queen City Gymnastics, and the Science Centre the past four years.)
- buying a new winter coat for half price, and getting the last one in my size. It's long and down-filled -- super warm and cozy -- and I think it looks good too!
- attending a make-up dance class on the 30th. It was good to move again, plus I was one of only two students there, so I enjoyed having more attention from the teacher as I worked on my Slip Jig.
- getting to go home from work a little early on New Years Eve, and then getting lots of sleep that night. I think I needed some down time.
- having a four-day weekend, and just having time to do some things I'd been wanting to do.
- starting the workshop, A Life Well Crafted, at BigPictureScrapbooking.com. This month's theme is "Rise to the Occasion". I really enjoyed the first audio message from instructors Kolette Hall and Jason Hall. It was very inspiring; perfect for anyone with challenges to overcome or goals they wish to accomplish (i.e., everyone!). (It's not too late to join the class and you can get the January audio-only option for only $10.)
- selecting and ordering December photos. I love checking that monthly task off my list.
- installing some shelves in the basement (finally! we've had them for six weeks) and getting a bunch of stuff off the floor. I still have a lot of work to do in those areas, but getting stuff off the floor and onto shelves makes it seem a little more manageable.
- spending time with my family in YG today. We didn't go for the sleigh ride as it was still too cold this afternoon, but we had brunch and supper at Mom and Dad's. (Thanks again, Mom!) The kids had a blast with their cousins and grandparents. I really enjoyed working on a puzzle too; I hadn't done that for years! (i.e., one that's more than 24 or 100 pieces)
