Somehow, I managed to post every day last month.
Just before the new year began, I read a Reader's Digest article (thanks Erin!) based on Thank You Power by Deborah Norville, and I decided to list three things I'm thankful for each day. At the same time, I was thinking about getting back in the habit of blogging (recording) more. Both of these ideas provided impetus to start posting daily, but I hadn't really intended to write as much as I did in January. Apparently, it was a good month for this exercise as I had a lot to say, and the girls' birthdays provided a natural topic several times. I'm glad I captured all of that. I'm also glad I took the time to think of things I'm grateful for. Doing this took longer than I wanted it to sometimes, but it probably helped me maintain a pretty good mood through a very busy and somewhat stressful month. And I have 96 things listed to date! I like that.
All of that was good and worthwhile to me, but I can't keep it up! I just have too much to do to continue spending so much time at the computer. For sure, this is one reason I'm so behind on so many other things right now. I don't regret what I have done, but I'm going to let myself off the hook now. I'm pleased to have a month-long record of my/our life and a great gratitude list, and I will leave it at that -- except I have to make my list an even one hundred! So close.
So, what's next? I don't know. I'll keep posting (of course), but not so regularly. Not only do I need to get more done around here, I need to get more sleep!
