I have been following the Big Idea Festival at BPS the past 10 days or so. Every day there's an opportunity to win a prize by completing a challenge. Many of the challenges are simply to finish a sentence beginning with the phrase provided, and some are to create a layout based on your sentence. I have completed all the statements, but only made this one layout. Neil took the pictures for me yesterday and I decided to make a quick digital page based on a Cathy Zielske layout from a class I took two years ago (Design Your Life). I am getting ready to start scrapbooking again (I haven't made a page since June), so this was a bit of a warm-up layout. Plus, I went with digital because my scrapbooking table needs to be cleaned off before I can do any paper scrapping! I have already sent this layout to be printed at Costco because I want to have it in my album, not sitting on the computer.
Here are my sentences:
I learn... best by doing, participating, and practicing (rather than simply watching, listening, or reading).
I laugh... at the funny things my kids say -- especially the gems from my 4-year old!
I loathe... being at work when I have a million things to do at home.
I live... a full life that is sometimes chaotic and challenging, but also very very good.
I lack... the discipline to follow a daily routine, even when I create it for myself with the best of intentions!
I listen... to scrapbooking podcasts (the Paperclipping Roundtable and Digi Show) while I do chores.
I like... empty squares on my big family calendar!
I love... happy, funny conversations with my family at the dinner table.
I think all of these together will make great journaling for a quick layout about me. Go ahead and use this easy journaling idea for a layout or blog post about yourself!
P.S. I won a stamp from Unity Stamp Company!
