Our neighbour gave us one of her ferns and we just planted it in our front yard a couple weeks ago. :) (Processing: PW BW with all layers at 50% opacity.) / We have a wonderful lupine this year. In this picture, there's a fully opened stalk of flowers behind the new stalk.
Spiderwort (and Waldo? I didn't see an insect when I was taking this picture! Do you see it?) On the far left is today's spent flower; the bud on top will be open tomorrow; and the others will open day after day... it's fascinating! I used a 1x close-up filter on a 50mm lens for all three of these pictures.
